Community Learning Partnerships is a highly recognised, successful Leeds based charity with 35 years of experience working in deprived areas of the city to reduce inequality, poverty and deprivation and improve the wellbeing of children, young people and adults through the provision of learning, skills and personal development opportunities. We are currently seeking to appoint:

Let’s Read Project Officer

24 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated and highly organised project officer to lead the delivery and development of our Let’s Read and Dolly Parton Imagination Library programmes. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in improving literacy outcomes for children across Leeds, supporting them to build confidence, raise aspirations and develop a lifelong love of reading.

You will:

  • Organise the delivery of our established programmes, working closely with schools, volunteers, businesses and community partners.
  • Support and manage volunteers delivering one-to-one reading support in primary schools.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with schools and local businesses.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers from the community and corporate sector.
  • Promote the programmes and expand their reach across Leeds.
  • Contribute to fundraising and income generation to ensure long-term sustainability.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

  • 25 days annual leave (pro-rata for part time posts) increasing according to length of service + 8 bank holidays
  • Birthday day off (pro-rata for part-time posts)
