The role ensures alignment with internal governance, applicable legislation, statutory obligations, recognised industry standards and good practice, while strengthening organisational capability, assurance maturity and the overall electrical safety culture across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead continuous improvement by capturing and embedding lessons learned from audits, incidents, inspections and operational feedback
  • Act as a key representative for electrical safety, engaging with senior stakeholders, project leadership teams, contractors, regulators and industry bodies

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical safety management in high‑voltage environments, ideally within offshore wind, power transmission, substations or other comparable industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety rules, switching and isolation principles, permit‑to‑work systems, hazard identification and risk management, incident learning, assurance processes and statutory compliance.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex engineering and compliance requirements and translate them into clear governance, standards and practical business requirements.
  • Experience in developing governance frameworks, procedures, competency arrangements, audit programmes and compliance assurance processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the credibility to operate effectively with senior stakeholders in an international matrix environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in preparing high‑quality reports, senior management presentations, governance papers, meeting outputs and action tracking materials.
  • Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
