Position Overview
Senior or Principal Landscape Planner on the Environment team in our London office, focused on delivering exceptional landscape and visual impact assessments that support sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive Landscape (LVIA) and Townscape/Visual Impact (TVIA) assessments, including strategic planning and mitigation recommendations.
- Lead technical analysis of land and townscape, developing high‑quality designs and supporting landscape statements.
- Collaborate with clients, legal counsel and community stakeholders on projects in sensitive landscapes, often handling appeal work.
- Provide strategic, innovative landscape solutions that align with client goals and regulatory requirements.
- Document findings in clear technical reports and present recommendations to internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture.
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.
- Extensive experience in LVIA, TVIA, feasibility studies, landscape planning, design and mitigation strategies.
- Track record in the energy sector and strong technical report writing skills.
- Demonstrated project management, organisational and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively and independently.
- Proactive, strategic, and analytical approach to support client requirements.
