Senior Executive (Manager) – Operational Strategy – Strategy and Execution – EY-Parthenon

The Operational Strategy practice focuses on pragmatic, results‑oriented solutions that optimize operations and enhance overall business value. Our work spans:

  • Cost transformation using zero‑based principles
  • Turnaround and operational restructuring
  • Supply chain, manufacturing & procurement strategy & optimisation
  • Supply chain, manufacturing & procurement optimisation in a deal context
  • Transaction value creation, such as carve‑outs and integrations

Key Responsibilities

You will advise clients across a variety of sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and implementing strategic transformations. Your role includes:

  • Leading client engagements, from large project teams to focused workstreams, and providing credible, visible client leadership.
  • Delivering high‑impact analyses and recommendations, leveraging strong financial and operational expertise.
  • Engaging with executive leadership to identify improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and ensure sustainable growth.
  • Playing a supportive role in new business development by qualifying targets, assisting in pitches, and preparing compelling go‑to‑market collateral.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members.

  • Project management: develop project plans, track progress, manage commercial aspects and risk.
  • Financial analysis: evaluate financial information and scenario modelling to support decisions.

To Qualify for the Role

  • Specialism or experience in at least three of the following areas:
    • Professional services / consulting
    • Operational strategy (cost transformation, zero‑based budgeting, turnaround, operational restructuring)
    • Core operational functions – supply chain, manufacturing or procurement
    • Value creation in transactions (carve‑outs, separations, integrations)
    • Strong analytical skills linking operational analysis to financial statements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building relationships with senior clients, influencing and advising key decision makers.
  • Experience supporting sales and business development in a large‑scale consulting environment.
  • Track record of successful project delivery, managing teams and vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to produce high‑quality reports, papers, presentations, and thought leadership.
