Salary: £70,000 – 90,000 per year
Requirements
- We require a minimum of 5 years of network IT systems setup and management experience in commercial or industrial environments.
- We require professional English language skills, both spoken and written.
- We require a deep understanding of IT networks and server system configurations and setup, particularly Windows/Linux servers and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
- We require a strong understanding of IT security and data protection best practices.
- We require strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- We require excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- We configure and deploy networked servers, storage, network hardware, related software packages, and other IT support infrastructure.
- We check and validate installations and provide reports.
- We configure and troubleshoot different types of connectivity systems.
- We monitor system performance, carry out troubleshooting and resolution, and implement software patches and hardware replacements.
- We support and train customer internal IT departments and technicians so they can take operational ownership of the systems we supply.
- We maintain clear document trails of system changes and updates.
- We install, configure, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network servers, PCs, CCTV, and building monitoring systems used in our maritime surveillance systems.
- We travel globally for projects and live in‑country on agreed rotations of up to 12 weeks in‑country followed by 2 weeks at home.
