Are you an experienced and dynamic Nurse or ODP passionate about education and staff development? We are looking for a Professional Development Team Leader to provide education and practice development for our Theatre team at PRH.

The successful applicant will have extensive peri‑operative experience, knowledge and skills, particularly as a scrub practitioner. • Provide clinical support to newly qualified and experienced staff, ensuring best practice in clinical areas and delivering formal classroom and online teaching for pre‑ and post‑registration learners.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Lead for Theatre Education and theatre management to establish and maintain a supportive learning environment, updating and developing practices and training based on peri‑operative knowledge and experience.
  • Act as a change agent within the senior theatre team, shaping the future of peri‑operative practice, standardising practice cross‑site and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure staff achieve required clinical competencies through development and implementation of educational packages tailored to service, trust and individual needs.

Working for your organisation

Our Poppy’s Promise Commitment

We believe that compassionate care sits at the heart of everything we do. Every member of our team — clinical or non‑clinical — plays a vital role in ensuring patients, families, and colleagues are treated with dignity, empathy, and respect at all times. We expect all staff to demonstrate compassion not only through words but through actions: listening, communicating clearly and kindly, and recognising individual needs and circumstances.

Effective communication is central to safe and high‑quality healthcare. We value colleagues who take the time to understand others, explain information meaningfully, and respond to concerns with patience and understanding.

By joining our team you commit to uphold these values, ensuring every patient feels heard, respected and valued, with compassion embedded in every interaction daily.
