About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, caring and enthusiastic HLTA to lead a targeted Drawing Club writing intervention for small groups of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils with special educational needs.
This role is key to supporting pupils who are working within the EYFS Communication & Language and Literacy frameworks, helping them to develop confidence, vocabulary and early writing skills through high‑quality, structured and creative provision.
What we’re looking for
- Holds HLTA status (essential)
- Has experience working in Early Years / EYFS settings
- Has experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly speech, language and communication needs
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework, especially Communication & Language and Literacy
- Can deliver engaging, creative and structured small group interventions
- Has a warm, nurturing approach and high expectations for all pupils
- Works effectively as part of a team and communicates well with colleagues and families

Hours and Salary
Hours: 17.5 hours per week – 8.30am – 12pm daily
Grade: Grade E, SCP 18-25, (£31,537 – 36,363 p.a) – Actual Salary £13,331 – £15,833 p.a.
