As Lead Backend Engineer, you will architect and build the scalable systems powering Felicity, our AI property management assistant. You’ll own technical direction, design microservice architectures, and lead a high‑performing backend team. What You Will Do

• Architect, design, and build scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript to support real‑time operational workflows.

• Integrate backend services with LLMs and automation workflows to translate complex property management tasks into reliable, production‑grade systems.

The ideal candidate

• Has 7+ years of professional backend experience with deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Possesses a strong track record of leading engineering projects and designing microservice or event‑driven architectures in high‑growth startup environments.
• Must be a graduate from a Russell Group university with a first‑class or 2:1 degree (required for London‑based candidates).
