Logging Engineer

We’re looking for a Logging Engineer to join our Specialist Drilling team at Igne. This is a hands-on, outdoor role that will take you to drilling sites across the country, operating specialist wireline logging equipment, acquiring high-quality borehole geophysics data, and working alongside geotechnical engineers and drillers on varied and interesting projects.

The role requires UK wide travel and is an excellent career opportunity to join a growing and expanding team.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating wireline logging equipment from our specialist vehicle
• Monitoring real-time data acquisition for accuracy and quality
• Carrying out equipment checks, calibrations, and on-site troubleshooting
• Maintaining field logs, job reports, and data records
• Collaborating with site teams to meet project objectives
• Following HSE procedures and supporting equipment maintenance and mobilisation

What we’re looking for

• Basic understanding of geotechnical drilling operations – preferred
• Mechanical and electrical competence with strong troubleshooting ability
• Clear communication and good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• High attention to detail and commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, independently and with clients
• Willingness to travel and work flexible or extended hours
• Full UK driving license
