Quality Auditor

Alexander Steele are working in partnership with an established food manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Technical Audit Support Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate has worked in a fast-paced environment within a food technical or quality assurance role previously.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Internal audit scheduling – Schedule, allocate, and maintain the internal audit program across sites to ensure full compliance with BRC, customer, and company standards.
• Non-conformance management – Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), manage the compliance database, and verify that corrective and preventative actions are completed effectively and on time.
• Compliance auditing – Conduct structured GMP, Hygiene, Compliance, and HACCP audits across processing and packing operations to drive continuous improvement.
• Allergen & vegan validation – Maintain schedules, coordinate validation exercises, and accurately document all allergen and vegan testing requirements.
• Technical advisory – Provide technical information, guidance, and advice to production and engineering teams regarding ingredient and plant functionality.
• Pest control verification – Monitor, review, and verify all corrective actions raised throughout the site’s pest control programme.
• Continuous improvement – Update and optimize internal audit templates following customer Code of Practice (COP) reviews to improve quality and efficiency targets.
• QMS & brand integrity – Assure factory GMP and legal standards are met in line with the Quality Management System (QMS) to uphold brand integrity and ensure right-first-time production.

On Offer

• £27,000 p.a
• Monday to Friday – 40 hours p.w
