Job Brief
Moneybox is growing rapidly and is looking for a new member to join our Engineering team.
What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Web Developer to join us to build and lead a team with ownership of our web applications. We work in a fast paced environment using the Shape Up methodology to ensure we deliver meaningful projects to our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ship end-to-end features for our web platform, taking full ownership of the technical stack from concept to launch.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve existing or newly identified prioritized defects.
- Champion engineering excellence by writing clean, testable code and following industry-standard best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share ideas/knowledge among your peers.
- Build an understanding of product and technology for owned domain areas.
- Integrate core pillars, including accessibility, security, and performance, into every stage of the development lifecycle.
- Scale our design system by developing reusable, accessible components in Tailwind CSS and documenting them within Storybook to ensure UI consistency.
- Manage headless content delivery by architecting and maintaining integrations with Contentful, ensuring a seamless bridge between structured data and the frontend.
Tech Stack
The Web Application is a new addition to our tech stack and is built using modern technologies that will evolve as the project grows. It is designed to integrate with our existing backend services and mobile applications. This includes:
- Latest Next.js / React.js with Server Side Rendering
- Reusable component library styled using Tailwind CSS
- Zustand / TanStack Query for data and state management
- Infrastructure in Azure: App Services, Docker, Azure Pipelines
- Playwright for QA automation
Experience and Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript/Typescript and modern web standards
- Strong proficiency in React and its core principles
- Experience in creating rich user interfaces and custom components, with user experience and quality at the forefront
- Experience with version control tools, preferably Git
- Understanding of CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Vitest or Jest
- Experience with feature flagging/AB testing
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
