Overview

We have one permanent vacancy due to retirement and a fixed-term role to cover maternity leave. We support hybrid working with the right balance and a mix of in-person and home-based work. The role is in the Performance and Intelligence team within the Quality, Practice, Relationships and Support division of the Children, Families and Lifelong Learning Directorate. The starting salary is £42,958 per annum for a 36 hour working week.

About the Role

The Performance and Intelligence team supports the organisation to ensure that no one is left behind, providing a robust performance profile with data, reporting and feedback mechanisms. As a Performance Officer you will ensure frontline service teams have access to the information they need to sustain and improve practice. This includes maintaining and building data visualisation dashboards and participating in the existing reporting schedule and meetings with senior managers. The team also manages statutory data returns including the SEN2 return for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans and the Alternative Provision census. A deep understanding of at least one of these service areas would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline service teams with access to information to sustain and improve practice.
  • Maintain and develop data visualisation dashboards to support performance information access.
  • Contribute to and lead in the submission process for statutory data returns (e.g., SEN2, Alternative Provision census).
  • Engage with senior managers and stakeholders as part of the reporting schedule and meetings.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Experience working with and analysing education-related data.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience working alongside senior managers to deliver successful outcomes.
  • A technical understanding of SQL, Tableau and/or Liquid Logic’s System C would be a bonus.
