Health & Safety Advisor – Nuclear North

Overview
An experienced Health & Safety Advisor is required to support a Nuclear North team in delivering high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
This role plays a key part in driving a positive safety culture, providing guidance to site leadership, and ensuring compliance within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide comprehensive health & safety advice and guidance to Site and Project Managers
– Work collaboratively as part of an integrated client safety team
– Support pre-qualification and bid processes across HSEQ
– Monitor site compliance and recommend improvements
– Track and report on KPIs
– Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and POWRA
– Carry out audits, inspections, and site reviews
– Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
– Work with leadership and HR to develop safety initiatives
– Support subcontractors and suppliers in meeting HSE standards
– Produce reports and safety performance analysis
Key Requirements
– Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role
– Knowledge of UK HSE legislation
– Experience with audits and investigations
– Strong stakeholder management skills
– NEBOSH or equivalent qualification preferred
Additional Information
– Site-based role within a nuclear environment
– Travel may be required across additional project sites
