Reliability Engineer Birmingham (B71) – commutable from Dudley, Wolverhampton, Bromsgrove, West Brom, Walsall, Redditch, Cannock. Salary £52,000-£56,000. Working Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.Benefits:

Role & Responsibilities as a Reliability Engineer:Responsible for looking at engineering performance, ensuring machinery, systems and service operate efficiently and effectively;reviewing and developing new PPMs and leading continuous improvement activities;machine condition monitoring and asset care management;identifying obsolete spares/parts, liaising with suppliers & OEMs;working closely with shift engineers to identify problems before they happen and suggest improvements;carrying out RCA investigations and presenting weekly KPI and performance updates;managing plant overhauls, planning weekly shutdown schedules & contractor control.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a Reliability Engineer:
- Previous experience as a hands‑on maintenance engineer would be beneficial.
- Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally in a 24/7 operation.
- Experience in a similar asset care, reliability or continuous improvement engineering role.
- NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in engineering, ideally with an apprenticeship.
- Strong problem‑solver, able to think outside the box and suggest improvements.
- Good at assessing PPMs and creating new ones.
- Excellent communicator.
- Working closely with engineers, contractors, suppliers and OEMs.
- Project engineering experience is a plus.
- Strong machine condition monitoring and RCA experience.
