The Opportunity
We are representing a well funded international real estate developer that has recently established its UK operation and is delivering an exciting pipeline of high rise residential, PBSA and mixed use developments across London.
As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join its expanding development team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of complex, design led projects from planning through to construction and completion.
Working closely with Development, Design and Construction teams, you will take ownership of the technical delivery process, ensuring projects are coordinated, compliant and delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the technical design process across multiple residential and mixed use developments.
• Manage and coordinate external consultants including architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants and specialist designers.
• Review and manage design information through all project stages.
• Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, Building Safety Act requirements and Gateway processes.
• Work closely with internal development and construction teams to drive programme and design deliverables.
• Manage planning condition discharge and technical approvals.
• Coordinate design risk management and design reviews.
• Review construction details, specifications and technical submissions.
• Support procurement activities through technical input and consultant management.
• Drive quality assurance throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
Requirements
• Proven experience in a Technical Manager, Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Design Management position.
• Strong background delivering high rise residential developments within the UK market.
• Experience working on PBSA and mixed use schemes would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements and Gateway processes.
• Proficient user of Revit with the ability to review and coordinate technical design information.
• Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced development environment.
