Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for finance and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with FP&A, finance, and operational teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance review processes through robust reporting and insight generation.
  • Develop and optimise data models, datasets, and reporting structures to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, consistency, and governance.
  • Automate manual reporting processes where possible to reduce effort and improve timeliness.
  • Provide variance analysis and ad hoc reporting to support decision-making across the business.
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business definitions and KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in reporting, analytics, and performance management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools and data extraction processes.
  • Experience working with ERP or finance systems is desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across finance and non‑finance teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings in a clear and business‑friendly way.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting finance team in a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with SQL and other data querying / transformation tools.
  • Experience in data governance, master data, or reporting standardisation initiatives.
  • Exposure to international or matrix organisations.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, utilities, or related sectors would be advantageous.
