Location: Bedford Office (with regular travel to London and other regions in the UK) Employment Type: Full-time We are a growing bespoke consultancy offering comprehensive health, safety, fire, and project management services to residential clients, with a focus on supporting High-Rise Residential Buildings. We specialize in ensuring the safety and compliance of purpose-built blocks of flats, providing a high standard of support and expertise to our clients. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain in-depth knowledge of fire safety and building safety standards. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Door Surveyor to join our team in Bedford. The successful candidate will be based at our Bedford office but will be required to travel regularly to London, as well as to other regions in the UK when necessary. As a Fire Door Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and writing reports of fire doors in a variety of residential buildings to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations. Your work will directly contribute to building safety and help safeguard lives by identifying risks and recommending corrective actions. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in this essential role. Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors in various types of buildings to assess functionality, condition, and compliance with safety standards. Identify and document any defects, wear, or compliance issues related to fire doors and hardware. Prepare accurate reports detailing the condition of fire doors, including recommendations for repairs or replacements. Stay up-to-date with current fire safety regulations and standards. Training and Development: Full training will be provided to support the candidate in achieving the competence required to carry out accurate fire door inspections.
