About the role
We are proud to be one of the first universities in the UK to roll out full access to Microsoft 365 CoPilot across our community, placing us at the forefront of AI-enabled transformation in higher education. Through this partnership, we are reimagining how staff and students experience digital services—unlocking new ways of working, improving decision-making, and delivering real impact at scale.
Alongside this, we are embarking on a major ERP transformation, modernising our core Finance, HR and Payroll platforms and redefining how the University operates.
We are now looking for a Systems Analyst specialising in SAP HR & Payroll to play a key role in this journey.
This is a pivotal role within our ERP team, acting as the functional expert for SAP HR & Payroll, shaping how technology enables our people-focused services.
Blending business analysis, system configuration, and functional design, you will:
- Lead the functional design, configuration and enhancement of SAP HR & Payroll
- Translate business needs into high-quality functional and non-functional specifications
- Map and optimise end-to-end HR and Payroll processes, aligning them with system capability
- Advise stakeholders on best practice and how to maximise SAP functionality
- Work with technical teams, data specialists and suppliers to deliver robust, secure solutions
- Support testing, implementation and continuous improvement of critical systems
You will act as a bridge between HR, Payroll and Digital Services, ensuring that systems, data and processes work seamlessly together to support the University’s core operations.
About you
You will bring strong experience working with enterprise systems in complex, customer‑facing environments, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels. You will be analytical, organised and comfortable leading functional change in critical systems.
