Job Summary
As Head of Testing, you will lead the test engineering team and develop a modern automated test strategy for a long‑established, well‑respected organisation. You will ensure high quality releases, adherence to internal and external standards, and quality controls through manual and automated testing. The role is within Group Technology Services and reports to the Group Head of Testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to IT change and operational policies and standards.
- Take ownership of the test strategy and approach across the organisation.
- Define and oversee the test strategy for major projects and programmes in the portfolio.
- Lead the management and development of the test engineering capability.
- Work with engineering teams to select, deploy and operationalise the right test tools to support the strategy.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of organisational testing strategies that support continuous integration and delivery.
- Experience leading a team of test engineers across multiple delivery streams.
- Self‑starting and able to organise yourself to deliver outstanding results.
- Experience generating automated test suites to validate requirements, covering happy and unhappy paths.
- Automated testing of complex web applications with multiple workflows and paths.
- Experience in agile teams, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Microsoft Azure DevOps and AutoRabit for Salesforce).
- Familiarity with nCino, Salesforce, Azure APIs, or Thought Machine Vault is useful.
- Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Postman or AccelQ is useful.
- Full coverage of functional, regression, load, performance, security, and persona‑based testing.
- Experience working in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Azure.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with DevOps procedures and working in an Agile environment.
- Results‑oriented with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
