W13 Recruitment is working in partnership with a growing construction business to recruit a Junior

Buyer / Procurement Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in procurement within a fast-paced construction environment.

We’re particularly interested in individuals who already have experience within the construction supply chain, whether that’s through buying, procurement, merchanting, materials coordination, estimating support, or construction administration. An understanding of construction materials, suppliers, and project environments will enable you to make an immediate impact and develop quickly within the role.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the procurement team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the purchasing of materials and services required across multiple projects. This position offers genuine long-term development for someone keen to grow their career within construction procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day procurement and purchasing function
  • Raising and processing purchase orders
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Liaising with suppliers, site teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring order progress and delivery schedules
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Assisting with supplier onboarding and administration
  • Supporting cost control and purchasing activities across projects
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team

About You

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have experience in sectors such as construction, housebuilding, civil engineering, building materials, merchants, manufacturing, or related industries.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a buying, procurement, materials, commercial, or administrative role
  • Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, or project environments
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
