Senior Quantity Surveyor Joinery & Fit-Out Hertfordshire A market-leading joinery and fit-out contractor, with a turnover exceeding £100m and a strong presence across high-end commercial and refurbishment projects, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take on a key leadership role within its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior QS to step into a No.1 position , taking full commercial ownership of projects while leading and developing a team beneath them. This role will suit a commercially astute individual who is confident managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, while driving performance, profitability, and client relationships. Full Commercial Ownership (No.Take responsibility for the end-to-end commercial management of projects, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful delivery. Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, overseeing performance, output, and professional development. Cost Planning & Financial Control Prepare pre-tender profit plans, cashflow forecasts, and monitor project performance through detailed cost reporting and monthly profit reviews. Lead the procurement of joinery and fit-out packages, ensuring alignment with programme, cost plans, and contractual obligations. Commercial & Contractual Management Variations, Value Engineering & Risk Management Identify and manage variations, drive value engineering opportunities, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle. Final Accounts & Project Close-Out Lead the agreement of final accounts both upstream and downstream, ensuring projects are commercially closed out effectively.
