Health Records and Clinical Coding Manager

Full Time 36 hours per week

Band 7 – Salary Range £52,845 – £61,466 per annum

Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum

Relocation Assistance of up to £8,000 available

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Records and Clinical Coding Manager within the Gilbert Bain Hospital. The role is a key position within the Elective Services Team and reports to the Planned Care Operational Manager. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive health records service and assisting with the development and implementation of new technology in line with the eHealth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive leadership and support to Health Records and Reception Team Leaders in developing their services and providing staff training.
• Manage the health records service, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with NHS standards.
• Lead the implementation of new technology to support the eHealth strategy.
• Collaborate with informatics and business administration functions to improve data quality and service efficiency.

Qualifications

• Relevant first degree.
• Demonstrated senior level experience in informatics and business administration.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
