Job Description:

Role Overview

The post holder will work as part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Digital Department. They will join the Technical Support Team and provide technical support & assistance across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

Provide end‑user support for IT applications (Windows 11, Office 365, general desktop software), mobile devices and associated hardware.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware faults, diagnostics and resolution of equipment issues.

Deliver support over telephone and in person, managing multiple incidents simultaneously and maintaining accurate records.

Maintain attention to detail, solve problems efficiently, manage own time effectively and work under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven technical support experience (IT support role or equivalent).
  • Solid knowledge of Windows 11, Office 365, desktop applications and general operations.
  • Specialist working knowledge of IT hardware fault analysis, diagnostics and resolution, including supporting mobile devices.
  • Strong customer‑focused approach, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers over telephone or in person.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time well.
