Deputy Markets Manager Overview

An exciting opportunity within the Council’s Markets Team for the role of Deputy Markets Manager.

The role covers the operational management of St Nicholas indoor and outdoor markets in the heart of the historic Old City, as well as the licensing of markets across the city.

You will manage operations to meet the needs of stakeholders, including customers and traders, ensuring that service delivery is maintained using both in‑house and sub‑contract resources.

The role includes staff management, a range of stakeholder engagement, and deputising in the absence of the Markets Manager.

There may be occasions when you will be required to work long and unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
