As part of continued investment in their core platform capability, they are looking for a Technical Lead – Platform Engineering to help shape the next stage of their technical evolution.

You’ll have the autonomy to influence technical direction, explore modern engineering approaches and support a team of skilled engineers as they build reliable, secure and scalable systems.
The Technology You’ll Get to Shape:
This role offers the chance to work across a modern platform environment involving Linux, Kubernetes, container orchestration, OTA update mechanisms, observability, automation, secure deployment pipelines and distributed systems.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore and influence areas such as:
- Linux-based platform environments
- Kubernetes and containerised workloads
- Secure over-the-air update approaches
- Automation, image build tooling and deployment pipelines
- Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and OpenTelemetry
- Platform reliability, resilience and security
- Cloud-native engineering practices
- Go, scripting and modern development tooling
- Distributed systems operating across multiple customer environments
- Experience in every area is not expected.
- What matters most is strong platform engineering knowledge, technical curiosity and the ability to lead others through complex technical challenges.

About You
You may already be working as a Technical Lead, Platform Engineering Lead, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Senior Infrastructure Engineer or similar.
You’ll likely enjoy this role if you have experience across areas such as:
- Linux systems, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering.
- Kubernetes, containerisation or cloud-native technologies.
- Automation, deployment tooling or secure software delivery.
- Observability, monitoring, logging and reliability engineering.
- Supporting distributed, highly available or operationally complex systems.
- Technical leadership, mentoring and architectural decision-making.
- Communicating technical ideas clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
- Additional exposure to areas such as OTA updates, immutable infrastructure, GitOps, IoT-style messaging, cloud platforms or test automation would be useful, but not essential.
