Requirements
- We require experience in a platform or infrastructure engineering role.
- We require strong Azure knowledge across IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services.
- We require hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, with Bicep also considered.
- We require experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- We require a solid understanding of identity, including Entra ID and Active Directory.
- We require a solid understanding of networking and security.
- We require experience with SaaS and PaaS integrations.
- We require experience with containerisation, including Docker and Azure Container Apps.
- We require strong scripting skills, with PowerShell essential.
- We require comfort working across Windows and basic Linux environments.
- We require experience working within structured environments such as incident, change, and problem management.
- We require that candidates be eligible for SC Clearance and NPPV2 clearance, and be a UK resident for the last 5 years.
- We prefer familiarity with vulnerability management and security configuration across cloud environments.
- We prefer exposure to Kubernetes and AKS.
- We prefer experience with GitOps or automation tooling such as Ansible, Flux, or ArgoCD.
- We prefer Azure certifications such as AZ-104 and AZ-400 or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- We design, build, and manage Azure platforms using Infrastructure as Code.
- We own complex incidents, changes, and escalations across customer environments.
- We drive improvements in automation, security, and platform consistency.
- We support vulnerability management and security configuration across cloud environments.
- We drive observability across cloud services using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- We act as a technical escalation point for engineers across the team.
- We contribute to technical roadmaps, best practice, and standards.
- We lead or support onboarding of new customers and complex projects.
- We produce design documentation and contribute to pre-sales and solution shaping.
- We build trusted advisor relationships with key customers and help them get more from their platforms.
- We balance hands‑on technical delivery with thought leadership and mentoring.
- We mentor and support other engineers.
- We prioritise and manage multiple workstreams.
