Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS), part of Cox Automotive Europe, is on an ambitious engineering transformation journey.
We’re modernising a large-scale legacy .NET platform into a cloud‑native ecosystem built on AWS, modern .NET, event‑driven architecture and AI‑enabled engineering practices. Our systems support one of the UK’s largest vehicle preparation and storage operations, processing more than 200,000 vehicles annually for manufacturers, finance providers and rental businesses.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our technology platform while helping define how modern software engineering and AI‑assisted development are applied across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build and deploy scalable applications using modern .NET technologies.
- Help migrate a legacy .NET Framework monolith into AWS‑native services and microservices.
- Develop robust APIs and event‑driven solutions.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision‑making.
- Champion engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD and modern development practices.
- Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve delivery speed, quality and consistency.
- Take ownership from design through to production support and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with .NET / .NET Core & Docker
- Experience building applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- A passion for clean code, testing and engineering best practice
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems and event‑driven architectures
- An understanding of CI/CD, Agile delivery, BDD and/or TDD
- The ability to balance technical quality with pragmatic delivery outcomes
