RoleDescription:
In this role, youwill support the end-to-end data collection, validation andreporting process, using the risk management system, to support thepurchase of group insurance programmes. This role is the keyconduit between our risk management system service provider and theGroup Insurable Risk team. Ensuring data accuracy, systemintegrity, and supporting maintenance of the risk managementsystem.
A key focus of the role is analysing andvalidating all data inputs and outputs, including creating,maintaining, and verifying reports for insurers, senior managementand business stakeholders.
CoreDuties:
- Subjectmatter expert for therisk management system,provide guidance and support to Group Insurable Risk, business datacollectors, and third‑party service providers
- Responsible for analysing company exposure data,claims and premiums to identify themes and variances andpresented
- Responsible for developing anddelivering dashboards, reports and automated reporting solutions tosupport business teams
- Support the developmentand upkeep of insurance premium allocation models, analysing key drivers andrunning “what‑if” scenarios for budgeting
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in risk management systems
- Provide support and guidance to Group Insurable Riskcolleagues, data collectors across the business and third-partyservice providers
- Work closely with the riskmanagement systemservice provider to ensure the platform is supported, maintained,and continuously improved
Essential Skills:
- Experience managing risk management information systemsfor insurance policy management and data collection(desirable)
- Pro-active mindset and strong drive for continuousimprovement
- Well-developed reportingcapability using tools like PowerBI
- Proven analytical skills and expert in Microsoft Excel withability to manipulate data with pivot tables andVLOOKUP’s
- Well-developed analytical skills e.g. comparing, contrasting andcombining different sets of data
- GCSE Math’sand English (minimum C or 5)
- Grounding ingeneral insurance principles(desirable)
The GroupInsurable Risk team:
The role sits within GroupInsurable Risk within Finance under Head Office. The candidate willbe working within a team of 3 reporting into the Head of BusinessSupport, wider team of 16. Group Insurable Risk (GIR) has a globalaccountability for insurance purchase for BAE Systems. GIR isresourced to be the global subject matter expert supplemented byspecialist skills of external insurance brokers andconsultants.
This role is an integral part ofthe GIR business support team, supporting the management andmaintenance of the departments risk management systems used tocapture and report on claims, insurance policies, premiums, andexposure information about the company for placing insurance. Therisk system has over 50 users in the business, external serviceproviders and GIR team.
