Despatch Network Logistics is a growing UK logistics company operating across parcel delivery, last-mile, middle-mile, driver management, route operations, and contract logistics.
We are now looking for the right person to join our leadership team and help manage daily operations, improve systems, support new contracts, and drive company growth.
This is a key role for someone who can take responsibility, solve problems, manage people, and help the business move to the next level.
The Role
We are looking for a highly driven, reliable, and commercially minded individual who can support both operations and growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with the company director and will be involved in managing daily logistics activity, improving operational performance, recruiting and managing drivers, supporting client relationships, and helping the company expand into new opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone who wants long-term career growth and is ready to take real ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics operations and route performance
- Recruit, onboard, and manage drivers and supervisors
- Monitor service levels, attendance, costs, and delivery performance
- Communicate professionally with clients, depots, contractors, and suppliers
- Handle operational issues quickly and calmly
- Support new contract mobilisation and tender preparation
- Improve systems, reporting, processes, and controls
- Help identify new business opportunities
- Build strong internal teams as the company grows
- Support profitability, cost control, and service quality
The Right Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:

Experience Required
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Logistics operations
- Courier or parcel delivery
- Transport management
- Driver recruitment and management
- Warehouse or fulfilment operations
- Contract management
- Client account management
- Business development
- Operations leadership
A Transport Manager CPC qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
