We’re looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Water team based in Falmer/Chatham.Location: Southern Water Offices, Falmer/Chatham – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired.We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
- Leading and developing the commercial team, nurturing talent and ensuring high performance
- Providing robust commercial reporting, maintaining accurate cost and value management
- Building positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
- Managing subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting processes
- Implementing effective risk management and mitigation strategies to achieve commercial targets
What are we looking for?
- You have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification, preferably with RICS membership
- You bring significant experience in senior commercial roles, ideally within the water sector or regulated utilities
- You have a comprehensive understanding of NEC contracts and current Construction Law
- You excel at building collaborative relationships with clients and supply chain partners
- You’re passionate about nurturing talent and creating an inclusive team environment
