Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity within our Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) Derby for a Digital Manufacturing Manager to play a key role in leading our ambition to transform the future Services digital and technology operational environment. Digital capabilities have – and will more increasingly so – offer us a powerful opportunity to connect our value streams, enabling us to design, build and maintain our products with enhanced speed, efficiency and quality. This role will provide a highly visible platform to work across the Rolls‑Royce’s Maintenance Repair and Overhaul network and associated customers and internal stakeholders around the world. This includes the creation, optimisation & improvement of processes and systems to create excellent quality digital solutions for current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the creation, optimisation & improvement of processes and systems to create excellent quality digital solutions for current and future business needs.
  • Act as the Digital Manufacturing and Data Technical Authority within the Services Engineering MRO business, working closely with Information Technology, Design and Operations functions across the commodity and production lifecycles.
  • Identify future Digital Manufacturing requirements to define the Digital Manufacturing Strategy for the MRO business (internal and external supply chain).
  • Act as the thought leader for digital manufacturing across the business, connecting strategy, design, supply chain, operations and technology stakeholders along with technology partnerships and suppliers to create digital manufacturing strategy and roadmaps within the overall organisation, sector and business strategies.
  • Lead and develop the execution of Digital Manufacturing projects, to the appropriate standards and act as the primary interface within the team to champion collaboration and cross‑functional co‑ordination, including championing the deployment opportunities for new technologies that will enhance overhaul TRT performance.
  • Deploy and implement standardised Digital Manufacturing processes and technologies working across the Commodity and Production lifecycle with Design and Operations functions, ensuring business readiness in terms of people and process change to maximise the business benefit.
  • Embed Minimum Standards and lead the business innovation in Digital Manufacturing through the development of digital skills, processes and technology aligned to a clear Digital Manufacturing strategy.
  • Fix, improve and transform current and future digital capability in line with the Systems of Record, Differentiation and Innovation framework and corporate roadmaps/architecture to deliver transformative manufacturing capability.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the application of digital tools, systems and platforms in a business environment.
  • Working within a services environment including working with maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Manufacturing implementation processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence working practices and drive cultural and operational change.
  • Proven experience managing multiple workstreams and balancing priorities across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills across all organisational levels.
  • Experience in leading change initiatives, ideally within operational or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and coaching others to develop capability and embed new ways of working.
  • Degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
