Equans Data Centers is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical to join our expanding team and support the delivery of cutting‑edge data center solutions in High Wycombe and across the UK. The role involves leading the mechanical construction elements of large‑scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with health and safety regulations.
What you will deliver
- Leading on‑site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.
- Managing a team to ensure that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Driving operational excellence and providing expert technical guidance.
- Coordinating and controlling the on‑site construction process to ensure the site build progresses in line with the plan.
- Developing and agreeing electrical submission and approval processes with the client and design team.
- Supporting the overall programming and planning of the build.
- Attending site meetings, effectively communicating and providing information for progress reports.
- Chairing and recording minutes of the subcontractor meetings.
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Reviewing procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Fulfilling health‑and‑safety responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

Who are we looking for
- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- In‑depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
- Knowledge and skills to effectively problem‑solve.
- A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further.
- Self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
- Customer‑focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Attention to health‑and‑safety matters.
- Commercially astute.
- Experience in the data‑centres sector is desirable.
- Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable.
