Position: Corporate Lawyer (3–6 PQE)

Probation Period: 6 months

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary Range: Competitive

Location: Hybrid (Remote working and Office in Chancery Lane)

Qualifications / Experience

  • Qualified English Solicitor
  • 3–6 years’ PQE in Corporate Law
  • Strong experience in:
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
  • Private Client corporate structuring / owner-managed businesses / founder-led companies
  • Tax experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in commercial drafting and general advisory work is advantageous

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional managerial and leadership skills, with confidence supervising junior team members
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced, growing practice

Primary Responsibilities

  • Corporate / M&A
  • Lead and support on share and asset acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and other corporate transactions
  • Manage due diligence processes, data rooms, and transaction workstreams
  • Advise on general corporate governance and ongoing company advisory matters

Private Client – Corporate Structuring

  • Advise founders, high-net-worth individuals, and family-owned businesses on:
  • Corporate structuring
  • Succession-oriented transactions
  • Business ownership and asset protection strategies
  • Work alongside tax specialists (internal or external) where required to deliver integrated solutions

Drafting, Negotiation & Advisory

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of corporate and commercial agreements
  • Prepare clear, concise legal opinions and strategic advice for clients
  • Identify legal and commercial risks and provide practical recommendations

Client & Team Management

  • Serve as a principal point of contact for clients, understanding their commercial objectives and delivering tailored advice
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across start-ups, SMEs, private clients, and investor groups
  • Oversee junior lawyers and trainees, providing guidance, feedback, and support
  • Contribute to internal know-how, training, and process improvement

Firm Development

  • Participate in business development initiatives and external networking
  • Support the firm’s strategic growth and expansion into new practice areas and markets
