About QOVES
QOVES is a technology company pioneering facial aesthetics, helping consumers make smarter beauty decisions. Every day, people make important decisions about their appearance based on guesswork or generic advice. We help them decide with clarity instead. Our platform gives customers a clear, science-backed understanding of their face, paired with bespoke advice on how they can look better. Our work reaches millions: more than 2.5 million people follow QOVES across platforms and most importantly, our customers are delighted, with 4.8 stars across 600+ reviews; we believe this reflects the care and sensitivity with which we approach everyone who comes to us for guidance. We’re a profitable, growing company headquartered at The Library in London, with a team across the globe. What guides us is simple: people deserve more than one-size-fits-all advice when it comes to their appearance. Every decision we make (from the science behind our models to the way we communicate results) is grounded in evidence, responsibility, and a broad, inclusive understanding of beauty.
About the Role
We are looking for an Industrial Designer who can translate scientific concepts and product ideas into high-fidelity 3D renders, functional prototypes, and production-ready designs. Expert proficiency in industry-standard CAD and rendering tools is a firm requirement.
You will work directly with our founders, engineers, and researchers. Day to day, that means turning concept notes and scientific references into detailed 3D models, creating photorealistic renders for presentations and investor use, and developing CAD models that carry through to manufacturing-ready files. You will apply anthropometric and ergonomic principles to form and human factors decisions, iterate rapidly based on feedback and usability testing, and work with suppliers and manufacturers to validate product specifications. Your output will shape our physical product lines: devices, tools, packaging, and hardware.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, Blender, KeyShot, or comparable tools.
- Portfolio demonstrating 3D product renders and designs taken through to manufacture.
- Solid understanding of ergonomics, materials, and production methods.
- Ability to interpret scientific or technical requirements and translate them into functional, testable designs.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility: clean, modern, and precision-driven.
- Comfortable taking ambiguous briefs and working independently through to a defined design direction.
- Able to work onsite at The Library in London.
Nice to Have
- Experience working alongside engineers and research scientists on hardware products.
- Background or active interest in cosmetic science, biomedical engineering, or human perception research.
Why Join Us
- Direct collaboration with founders and senior engineers on products seen by millions.
- Full creative ownership of product design direction at a company defining a new category.
- Fast-moving, meritocratic team where output is valued over process.
Compensation and Logistics
- Competitive salary.
- Full-time, onsite at The Library in London, 5 days a week.
- Reporting to: CTO
