Due to a period of organisational change within the payroll function, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to provide leadership, stability and process improvement during an important transitional period.
About the Role
This is a hands-on interim position offering the opportunity to make an immediate difference. You’ll provide leadership to the payroll team while reviewing existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping create a more efficient, well-structured payroll function. This role would suit someone who enjoys bringing order to busy environments, confidently leading teams and implementing positive change.
- Providing day-to-day leadership for the payroll team.
- Supporting the payroll function through a period of change and transition.
- Reviewing existing payroll processes and recommending improvements.
- Implementing more efficient procedures and best practice across the department.
- Working closely with HR and key stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Overseeing weekly payroll for approximately 2,700 employees and monthly payroll for around 500 office-based staff.
- Supporting the ongoing development and optimisation of the HRIS.
- Identifying areas of risk and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Acting as the go-to payroll expert while helping shape the future structure of the team.
