Main Duties

• Behave professionally and courteously at all times.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery and collection of pathology specimens, post, supplies, stationery, and equipment, obtaining signatures when required.
• Deliver and collect specimens from surgeries, hospitals, and clinics; occasionally transfer bodies between Path Links mortuaries.
• Perform daily vehicle inspection, checking fuel, water, oil, tyres and lights, and keep the vehicle clean.
• Follow safety procedures, recognise potential hazards, and report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Complete accurate administrative tasks such as vehicle logs and proof‑of‑delivery forms.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with Trust policies.
• Attend mandatory training sessions.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Knowledge of local areas.

Knowledge and Training

• Clean full driving licence.
• Previous driving duties experience.
• Experience working in the NHS or a caring environment.
