Pathology Courier Driver

Main Duties
- Behave professionally and courteously at all times.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery and collection of pathology specimens, post, supplies, stationery, and equipment, obtaining signatures when required.
- Deliver and collect specimens from surgeries, hospitals, and clinics; occasionally transfer bodies between Path Links mortuaries.
- Perform daily vehicle inspection, checking fuel, water, oil, tyres and lights, and keep the vehicle clean.
- Follow safety procedures, recognise potential hazards, and report accidents or incidents promptly.
- Complete accurate administrative tasks such as vehicle logs and proof‑of‑delivery forms.
- Maintain confidentiality in line with Trust policies.
- Attend mandatory training sessions.
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Knowledge of local areas.
Knowledge and Training
- Clean full driving licence.
- Previous driving duties experience.
- Experience working in the NHS or a caring environment.
