Overview
Loughborough Sport is looking for an experienced Throws Coach to join our track and field team and continue to push athlete development forward. The role requires in depth Throws coaching knowledge and the ability to lead an inter‑disciplinary team to develop student athletes towards their potential. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a unique multi‑sport performance development environment where innovation and creativity are actively encouraged. The postholder will oversee recruitment of athletes, delivery of coaching programmes, use of paid and volunteer coaches, and selection to BUCS competitions and other events.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality throws coaching to student athletes.
- Lead an inter‑disciplinary coaching team.
- Recruit and select athletes for competition.
- Coordinate coaching programmes and support paid/volunteer coaches.
- Represent the team at BUCS and other events.
