Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient, and energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our internal sales team. As the first point of contact for prospective clients, you will be the driving force behind our new business pipeline. This is a purely office-based, outbound-focused role where your primary objective is to prospect, cold call, qualify leads, and book high-quality appointments for our Business Development Managers. Key Responsibilities
- High-Volume Cold Calling: Proactively reach out to target businesses via phone to generate interest in Apex Workwear’s products and services.
- Appointment Setting: Qualify prospects, identify their PPE and workwear needs, and successfully book well-qualified meetings for the Business Development team.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Conduct market research to identify new B2B leads across relevant industries (construction, logistics, hospitality, etc.) and build targeted call lists. The Internal team would also help with this.
- Email & Linkedin Outreach: Supplement cold calling efforts with strategic, personalized email and messaging campaigns to engage decision-makers.
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Meticulously log all daily activities, call outcomes, and lead information in the CRM to ensure accurate tracking and pipeline visibility.
- Achieve KPIs: Consistently hit and exceed daily/weekly targets for dials made, decision-makers spoken to, and appointments booked.
Required Experience & Skills
- Sales/Telesales Experience: Previous experience surpassing gatekeepers in a successful B2B telesales, lead generation, or outbound SDR role is highly preferred.
- Exceptional Communication: An excellent phone manner with the ability to confidently engage and build rapport with senior decision-makers and procurement teams.
- Resilience & Drive: Thick skin, the ability to handle objections gracefully, and a relentless drive to hit targets and earn commission.
- Self-Starter: Highly organized with the ability to manage your daily call schedule and prioritize high-potential leads.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Pipedrive) and basic sales outreach tools.
- Industry Knowledge (Bonus): While not strictly required, a basic understanding of the workwear or PPE industry is advantageous.
