Cyber Security Architect

Salary

Salary: £75,000 – 80,000 per year

Requirements

• We need a broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies, with specialism in Operational Technology (OT) and engineering systems.
• We need an excellent understanding of government and industry-standard security policies, standards, and best practice guidance, particularly within highly regulated environments.
• We need hands-on experience of working within an IT function and applying expertise in the relevant technical field.

Responsibilities

• We will serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and partners on all cyber security architecture activities within the engineering domain.
• We will collaborate with teams to manage security risk in line with our risk appetite, providing guidance and recommendations on designs and architectural changes to support effective risk mitigation.
• We will ensure systems are fully compliant with internal security standards, drawing on industry frameworks and best practices to strengthen resilience.
• We will take ownership of security specification and design, working with colleagues to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• We will lead the development of security-focused architectures for complex engineering solutions, designing against agreed requirements while ensuring consistency and adherence to relevant standards across multiple projects or initiatives.
• We will work closely with engineering, technical, and stakeholder teams to embed security by design, providing guidance on best practice, risk mitigation, and compliance.
• We will support the review and assurance of designs, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to organisational and regulatory expectations.

We are a multi-national Aerospace & Defence organisation seeking a Cyber Security Architect to be based at our Warton site on a hybrid working basis, with 2-3 days on site. This role offers a salary of up to £80k, a car allowance of £6,000, a 15-20% bonus, and executive benefits.
