Data Analyst
Location: The Lumen, St James’ Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne, various ‘spoke’ offices throughout the North East and remote working arrangements.
Salary: N7 £36,363 – £39,862 per annum. (Please note it is North East MSA policy to appoint at the starting point of the salary band).
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst within our Data, Analysis and Insight team, you will play a key role in turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform policy, strategy and delivery. From analysing a wide range of data sources to supporting the development of key strategic priorities and plans, your work will play an important role in informing decision-making and helping deliver our missions across the North East.
This is a varied and impactful role where you’ll lead analytical and visualisation projects, produce high-quality reports, briefings and presentations for a wide range of audiences and contribute to the ongoing development of the North East Evidence Hub. You will work proactively with colleagues across the organisation to shape the questions we ask, identify emerging issues and help embed data, evidence and insight into how we design and deliver policy and programmes.
Alongside delivering high-quality analysis, you will play an important role in shaping and improving our analytical approach. This includes applying robust analytical methods, identifying innovative data sources and approaches, and improving how insight is generated, shared and used. You will support business cases, funding proposals, and evaluation activity, ensuring that learning and evidence are built in from the outset. You will build strong, trusted relationships with policy and delivery teams and external partners, providing expert advice and constructive challenge to ensure decisions are grounded in robust data, evidence and insight.
