Overview
Field Service Engineer – Location: South Wales (Cardiff/Newport areas). OTE: £40-50k+. We’re recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join our team, covering Cardiff and the surrounding areas. Training is provided, and prior experience in a traditional engineering background is not required if you have hands-on, practical experience and comfort with tools, faultfinding and independent work. Experience in electrical work, joinery, mechanical tasks or installation-based roles is beneficial.
You will spend your day installing, servicing and repairing our stairlifts in customers’ homes. The role emphasizes owning your day, planning your time effectively, delivering a professional customer experience and driving to achieve outcomes.
A full, clean driving licence is required as you’ll be travelling within your region, and you’ll take part in a 1 in 4 on-call rota with additional payments for callouts.

- Install, service and repair stairlifts in customers’ homes
- Manage your own workload, plan your day and deliver a positive, professional customer experience

What you’ll need (Qualifications/Experience)
- Experience in a hands-on, practical role, comfortable using tools and working in customers’ environments
- Exposure to electrical work, joinery, mechanical tasks or installation-based work (advantageous but not essential; full training provided)
- A strong work ethic and drive to succeed, with motivation to maximise performance and earnings
- The ability to manage your own time effectively, plan your day and work independently
- A customer-focused approach with good communication skills and a professional manner
- Confidence working alone while also being part of a wider team
- A flexible attitude, including willingness to work overtime and take part in an on-call rota
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Good local or regional geographic awareness
