In this Audit Assistant Manager role, you will take a leading role in the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments across a diverse and stimulating client portfolio spanning a variety of sectors. You will work closely with senior management and partners, providing technical input and helping to drive quality and efficiency across the team. There is also a meaningful people management element to this position, giving you the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff and play a key role in shaping the audit function going forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact and providing proactive, commercially aware advice
  • Supervise, support, and develop junior members of the audit team, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the audit department, supporting partners with business development activity
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable accounting frameworks

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with demonstrable experience at Senior or Assistant Manager level within an audit team
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and IFRS, with the ability to apply this across a varied client base
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously
