Owen Reed is looking for a meticulous Rewards Assistant for a top law firm in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Rewards Assistant to join a collaborative Global Reward team, supporting key compensation, benefits and reporting activities while developing a rewarding career within a leading professional services environment. The successful Rewards Assistant will play an important role in delivering accurate reward processes, insightful analytics and exceptional administrative support.

Working Arrangement

This is a permanent hybrid position based in London, with two days in the office and three days working from home.

About the Role

As a Rewards Assistant, you will support the firm’s Global Reward team by assisting with annual salary and bonus reviews, benefits administration, reward reporting and compensation analysis. The Rewards Assistant will work with large data sets, produce meaningful management information and contribute to reward projects that support business decision-making.

The Rewards Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining accurate reward data, supporting benchmarking activities, assisting with policy documentation and ensuring employee benefits and pension administration are delivered efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise across compensation, benefits and HR analytics within a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual reward processes, including salary reviews, bonus reviews and annual budgeting.
  • Maintain compensation data, spreadsheets and reporting for the HR team and wider business.
  • Assist with reward modelling, benchmarking and market research activities.
  • Produce management information, reports and analytics to support reward projects and business decisions.
  • Support the annual gender pay reporting process through data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with reward policy documentation, process notes and research projects.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the employee benefits platform, resolving data issues where required.
  • Support annual benefits renewals and pension administration, including joiners, leavers and contribution uploads.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee benefit enquiries, providing excellent service to employees, partners and the HR team.
  • Produce monthly payroll reports and liaise with external payroll providers.
  • Work closely with HRIS and HR teams to improve reporting capabilities and data accuracy.
  • Process Reward-related invoices through the Accounts Payable system and monitor approvals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reward processes and reporting efficiencies.

About You

The ideal Rewards Assistant will be analytical, highly organised and eager to build a successful career within reward and HR. You will enjoy working with data, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and possess the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.

You will have:

  • Previous experience within Reward, HRIS or HR reporting, either in a specialist or generalist capacity.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience producing reports, management information and data analytics.
  • Previous experience within a professional services environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of reward benchmarking systems and compensation principles is advantageous.
  • Experience using Power BI is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to validate and check your own work.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
