Main duties of the job
The OpportunityYou’ll take ownership of 2030 GP/PCN contracts across your region. You’ll lead clinical and operational teams, manage performance, and be the person your NHS partners rely on. You’ll have the autonomy to run your region the way you think is best and a commission structure that rewards you when it delivers.

PRIMARY CARE REGIONAL MANAGER
The Pharmacist Network | South West ·Kent | Hybrid
The Pharmacist Network is a fast-growing, pharmacist-led primary care organisation. We deliver clinical and operational services to GP practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across England. As we expand, we need experienced Primary Care Regional Managers who know the primary care landscape inside out.
We’re not looking for someone who needs primary care explained to them. We want someone who has lived it — managed the pressures, built the relationships, and knows what makes a PCN or GP practice actually work.
OTE: £8,000–£10,000 — and there’s no ceiling on what you can earn
Commission is tied to clear performance targets across headcount growth, service delivery, and margin — the better your region performs, the more you earn.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing day-to-day regional operations across 20–30 primary care contracts
- Line managing Senior and Lead Pharmacists, providing coaching and clinical oversight
- Monitoring KPIs, contract performance, and workforce metrics — stepping in proactively when needed
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with GP Practices, PCNs, and ICBs
- Leading workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development across your region
- Ensuring CQC and NHS governance compliance across all services
- Identifying opportunities for service growth and commercial development
- Reporting regional performance to the Managing Director and senior leadership team
Who We’re Looking For
This role is ideal if you are currently working as a PCN Business Manager, Practice Manager, Primary Care Operations Manager, or Multi-site Primary Care Lead — and you’re ready to take the next step.
You’ll need:
- 3+ years in a senior operational or leadership role
- Direct, hands-on experience in primary care (GP, PCN, NHS)
- Proven ability to lead and influence multi-site teams
- Deep knowledge of NHS structures and PCN operations
- Strong performance management and analytical skills
- Full UK driving licence
You’ll stand out if you have:
- An existing network across GP practices or PCNs in your region
- Experience in service redesign or pathway improvement
- A background in healthcare ops or medicines optimisation
- A leadership or management qualificationi>
