Rolling Stock Project Engineer

We’re supporting a major rolling stock modification programme and are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on an initial 4‑week contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of structural modifications
• Review and develop installation methodologies, work instructions and engineering documentation
• Oversee vehicle modification activities including removal and replacement of structural components
• Liaise with design, production and depot teams to ensure safe and efficient implementation
• Support quality assurance, inspections and engineering sign-off activities

Requirements

• Rolling stock, rail or heavy engineering experience
• Strong mechanical or structural engineering background
• Experience producing or reviewing installation/work instructions
• Knowledge of depot-based modification projects
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
