Overview

Apply for Business Support Officer at North London NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham, ENG, GB. This full‑time on‑site position offers great opportunities for career growth. Although the recruiting Trust is North London NHS Foundation Trust, this post is based in Birmingham and there is no expectation for the successful candidate to travel to Trust sites in London on a regular basis. This is a unique opportunity to do something different and join the CCS Central Hub, based in the West Midlands, and a newly commissioned Counter Terrorism Clinical Consultancy Service (CTCCS). CTCCS is a joint NHS and Police mental health team that facilitates information sharing with local mental health services for individuals who have come to the attention of Counter Terrorism Policing and who are thought to either present a risk of serious harm or have safeguarding, welfare or treatment needs in the context of mental disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality business support with regular liaison with external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient time management.
  • Coordinate the regular internal and external schedule of meetings to ensure contract monitoring, operational and performance monitoring, maintaining clinical governance and statutory obligations.
  • Contribute to and circulate regular communications to both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective professional relationships with very senior staff internally and externally, dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Use analytical, organisational and communication skills and work on your own initiative to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Undertake and manage a variety of different workstreams and projects, as directed.
  • Plan and organise meetings and assist with training events, workshops, room bookings, hospitality and projects identified by the line manager.
  • Collate and analyse complex data and information, producing qualitative and quantitative reports for audit and KPI oversight.
  • Coordinate, attend and contribute to meetings, ensuring accurate recording of discussions and concise minutes.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, complex and often sensitive information to a range of internal and external staff, service users’ relatives/carers and other stakeholders, using sensitivity, tact and persuasive skills where required.
  • Use initiative and support the general management of the administration department by providing a focal point for queries in the absence of the senior manager.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all staff within the Trust and outside agencies.
