Product Owner – Risk

Product Owner – Risk/Analytics London (Hybrid) Up to £110,000 + bonus

We’re working with a specialist insurance business building out a genuinely interesting analytics platform at the core of how they underwrite risk, manage portfolios and allocate capital.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning and prioritising the product backlog for a core analytics platform
• Turning messy, complex business requirements into clear, usable work for engineers
• Working closely with underwriting, actuarial and portfolio teams to understand how they actually use the product
• Partnering with engineers and tech leads to make sure work is properly defined and deliverable
• Driving backlog refinement, sprint planning and release coordination
• Acting as the day‑to‑day bridge between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Making sure what gets delivered does what it’s supposed to do

What they’re looking for

• Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on data or analytics‑led products
• Some understanding of insurance or financial services (reinsurance experience is a big plus, but not essential)
• Comfortable working with engineers and talking through data, APIs and workflows
• Able to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules
• Strong stakeholder skills
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum ways of working
• Ideally some exposure to SQL or working with structured data
