The Role
As a key member of the Bilfinger Project Delivery Team, you will work on stimulating and ground‑breaking EPC and construction projects in the UK.
- Plan, organise, manage and ensure closure of projects
- Be accountable for project safety, programme and budgets
- Identify the overall project execution strategy; develop and own the project execution plan
- Be responsible for coordinating project resources
- Coordinate the project team and third‑parties
- Lead on commercial and change management
- Undertake internal BUK and external monitoring, reporting and forecasting
- Hold the rest of the project team to account for their delivery, motivation and management
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager in multi-disciplinary EPCM/EPC projects, ideally in the UK Infrastructure sector
- Experience developing project programmes
- Good knowledge of construction activities across all disciplines and how they integrate to ensure successful project delivery
- Sound practical knowledge of engineering and construction project phases – detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning
- Experience and understanding of working with standard contracts, particularly NEC3/4
- Results oriented, delivering safely, on time and within budget
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a first‑time‑right mindset
- Capable of identifying growth opportunities, supporting sales and contributing to company procedures and strategies
- Delegates effectively while maintaining full project visibility and intervention when required
- Leads and motivates team to achieve targets, even amid setbacks
Preferred
- BSc / BEng / MSc or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
- Qualification from APM (Association for Project Management)
- Experience as a Project Manager in highly regulated process industries
