Job Description:

Role Overview:

  • Support the Project Manager in delivering Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) or Mechanical projects within the gas and process industry, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across the full project lifecycle from feasibility and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Assist with project planning, schedules, budgets, risk management, and reporting while supporting project reviews and governance.
  • Review and coordinate engineering deliverables, including specifications, control philosophies, drawings, and technical documentation, liaising with suppliers, contractors, and site teams.
  • Support commissioning, start‑up activities, and ensure technical requirements are met throughout delivery.
  • Participate in process safety studies (HAZCON, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA) and manage close‑out of actions, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key interface between clients, internal teams, and stakeholders, attending meetings, providing updates, and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality processes, and Management of Change (MoC), supporting audits, inspections, and overall project assurance.

Requirements:

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience within gas, oil & gas, energy, or process industries.
  • Understanding of the engineering project lifecycle and process safety principles.
  • Experience supporting or participating in HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, LOPA, or risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, automation, or mechanical/project engineering (depending on discipline).
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
