Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Automation Engineer (Multiskilled) to join a growing engineering business delivering services across commercial and residential environments. This field‑based role offers a varied workload including reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and installation of automated access systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers’ automated door, gate, and barrier systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational while delivering exceptional service standards.
Automation Engineer (Multiskilled) Key Responsibilities
- Attend emergency call‑outs and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Service, maintain, and repair automatic doors, gates, and barrier systems.
- Install and commission automated access equipment.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and system assessments.
- Complete detailed service reports and job documentation.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and work records.
- Participate in an on‑call rota and undertake overtime when required.
Automation Engineer (Multiskilled) Skills & Experience Required
- ADSA or ADIA accreditation.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with automatic doors, gates, barriers, or related automation systems.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work requirements.
